Sketchbook

I enjoy putting charcoal and ink to paper when I have the opportunity. I love the richness and contrast that charcoal and an eraser can provide. Many of the pieces below have stories behind them or are associated with past experiences. Each are done freehand which helps to create a playful look and feel. I don't fancy myself a professional sketch artist, but it helps me visualize potential projects and it's a creative outlet that is a part of my artistic repertoire. Occasionally I'll work digitally, as represented by a few of the images below, it just depends on how I'm feeling or what I'm doing.
